| Stora Enso Timber acquires a sawmill in East Poland |

Stora Enso Timber has signed an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares in a sawmilling company Centrum Dystrybucji i Obróbki Drewna Sp. z o.o. located in Kolonia district, Swietajno, north-east Poland. With current assets the sawmill has a capacity of some 30,000 m3 sawn goods per annum, of which a significant part is further processed.
Swietajno sawmill is Stora Enso Timber’s second mill in Poland. “The Murow sawmill acquisition in southern Poland in December 2006 has proven to be the right strategic step. We now look forward to welcoming the 100 new employees of Swietajno sawmill to Stora Enso Timber and start integrating the mill into our operations,” explains Herbert Jöbstl, head of the Central European Production Group.
