On 11 April 2007, Precious Woods acquired two Gabonese companies: Compagnie Equatoriale des Bois (CEB) and Thanry Gabon Industrie (TGI). CEB holds concessions covering approximately 600 000 hectares of forest land in East Gabon, and operates a saw mill. In Libreville, TGI operates a veneer mill which manufactures okoumé rotary veneer. Approximately 200 000 m3 of roundwood is harvested annually.
CEB developed the first forest management plan to be implemented in Gabon in the 1990s, and in so doing assumed a pioneering role. Since then, CEB has conducted its operations in line with the principles of sustainable forest management.
